? | YWCA of Richmond | Builds and fosters community relationships to increase agency and program awareness, in-kind support and volunteer engagement. Serves as the lead in developing and implementing strategy on volunteer recruitment and retention, donated support (non-monetary) and public education.? ? ?Public Relations & Communication:? oSecures collateral materials.? oDevelops, implements and leads an organizational speaker?s bureau capitalizing on staff and skilled volunteers.? oCoordinates and disseminates all public speaking requests (nonmedia requests).? oServes as central point of contact and agency ambassador for speaking engagements, tabling events, trainings and United Way campaign activities.? oAssesses community opportunities for staff participation on committees, councils, and forums, and coordinates and monitors staff participation when appropriate.? ? ?Volunteer Engagement:? oRecruits, trains, schedules, and provides for the management of all volunteer activities.? oConsults with senior management and staff to determine organizational needs for various volunteer services and plans for volunteer recruitment.? oDetermines and catalogues current and future volunteer opportunities and needs for general and skilled based volunteers.? oDevelops and modifies volunteer training materials, manuals, job descriptions and processes for onboarding.? oCoordinates volunteer trainings and instructions.? oDevelops and implements volunteer recognition/appreciation activities and retention strategies.? oEstablishes and maintains relationships with businesses, civic groups, leagues, faith-based organizations, schools/universities and volunteer organizations as a pipeline for volunteer recruitment and retention.? oMaintains an accounting of volunteers and services provided and inputs all information into the donor database as a stewardship strategy.? ? ?Donation Drives:? oEstablishes an annual calendar/plan of in-kind donation activities to support the bottom line and needs of the organization.? oPlans, coordinates, promotes, and fully implements donation drive activities.? oCoordinates donation logistics with the Receptionist and Director of Facilities.? oBuilds community relationships to enhance and expand targeted in-kind donations.? oTracks all in-kind donations, enters pertinent information into the donor database, and develops and implements in-kind donor appreciation activities. | Education:? ?A Bachelor?s Degree in Public Relations, Communications, Business, Sociology, or other related field? ? Experience:? ?At least 2 years experience in a related field.? ?Knowledge of computer and office equipment, Microsoft Excel, and word processing.? Skills/Requirements:? ?Ability to work independently.? ?Detail oriented & strong organizational skills.? ?Ability to develop and maintain networks and relationships.? ?Proven success and demonstrated creative abilities in the development and implementation of successful communication programs.? ?Effective oral and written communication skills.? ?Demonstrable multi-media competency.? ?Successful completion of criminal background and credit checks.?
