The reason of ?For The Kids? message comes from three areas in Toma?s life:

-Growing up with medical conditions lead to a lot of time spent in the hospital as Tomas grew up. He?s had 73 surgeries and spent most of his childhood in the hospital with other kids going through intense medical conditions as he was. Tomas witnessed a lot of sick children that didn?t have the same parental love and support as he was fortunate enough to have, or children with parents who couldn?t afford to pay medical expenses needed. Or worst of all, seeing parents with sick children abandon them at the hospital because they couldn?t handle having sick children.

-Second, his time spent in the music scene seeing bands with a large following, consisted mostly of kids, teens and young adults, who weren?t a good influence on their following. He feels that musicians and bands should have a responsibility to be a good influence on kids in their audience because they?re so easily influenced by those that they look up too. Tomas feels that this idea also goes with anyone who?s a celebrity in the limelight with such a large following of kids, that they also have a responsibility to be the positive message that kids need.

-Lastly, in college Tomas did volunteer work with homeless and at-risk homeless teens. In his work he saw things he could never imagine. And feels that a large reason kids were in these situations is that because they didn?t have anyone to look up to as a positive influence.

Within the 2 months ?For The Kids? has been around, their feedback and support has been incredible. Gaining fans through Facebook and Twitter, kids all across the world have been talking about ?For The Kids?. Within a week of it?s launch, headlining bands at the Van?s Warped Tour wore ?For The Kids? on the stage to show their support of it?s cause and message. And has been contacted by other bands to begin working with ?For The Kids? and booking possible tours where For The Kids? can go along to promote and spread the positive message. Over at All Things D, Peter Kafka says that Amazon is likely to launch the Kindle with the backing of Hearst, Conde Nast, and Meredith, three of the largest magazine publishers in the US. "A person familiar with negotiations suggests that a deal won?t get done in the next two days, either."

Of course there may be some actual or real businesses sending promos, but for the real ones you can simply contact them and ask to be removed from any promo list or just add their e-mail your spam filter. Some times your own ISP/ webmail sends you ads for other companies they deal with , these are not really spam, they are just part of the way the operate. Unless you are on Hotmail they do send a lot of spam on that , try Yahoo or Google or whatever there are thousands of free mail websites not all of them are after spam money.

As for operating a ?scammer? business in UAE, that is very hard to do and the law is very strict if caught. The UAE has a specific internet law to prosecute any one that does that. But of course nothing is 100% proof , they may find a way but I don?t know of any (internet scam from within UAE) , and haven?t heard of such cases in a long time.

They will start an investigation until thy match which of their users did it and they will suspend their account. Some ISPs depending on the country may actually report the user to police or file a law suit against the spammer if they are a respectable company.

Finally UAE domains are limited , and there are only 2 ISPs, namely Etisalat and Du. If your spam shows other ISP names then it did not come from UAE.

Castro called into question many points in Obama's speech, accusing him of misrepresenting the situations in Iraq and Afghanistan, U.S. policy on Israel and Palestine and the uprisings this year in several Arab nations.

"Who understands this gibberish of the President of the United States in front of the General Assembly?" he asked.

He said the General Assembly presented political difficulties for many countries trying to decide the positions they should take on numerous issues.

"For example, what position to adopt about the genocide of NATO in Libya?" Castro wrote. "Does anyone wish it recorded that under their direction, the government of their country supported the monstrous crimes by the United States and its NATO allies?"

special education issues : I am 13 and was in special ed until second grade. My teachers and parents have helped me a lot and I have slowly worked up to getting strait As in school. Now I help tutor the special ed class for math in the morning, during the school year.

1) Why do some people not accept special ed kids?

I feel really guilty sometimes for getting through my learning disability. Like maybe I didn?t deserve it. I have learned a lot from tutoring but still have a few questions that I am too afraid to ask the teacher.

You are placed into special services through a recommendation from your teacher, testing, and other input from guidance, etc. If you are falling behind in even one area, you can qualify for special help in that area. Generally, your classroom teacher makes a recommendation and then the process begins.
3. Sometimes students struggle in say, only reading. Perhaps a student has a condition that is holding them back. Special services tries to find the best way to teach the student. If they can do that, some students like yourself are able to stop receiving special services. Others just have greater disabilities that are harder to overcome.
Finally, don?t feel guilty about anything. Continue to work hard and to help others.

You sound like a very intelligent young woman. I am a special education teacher and I can tell you that there are kids in special education classes simply becuase the adults around them don?t want to put in the extra work to help them. Others have a REAL need to be there.

There are many MANY studies going on right now on why some people succeed and some dont. There is a great book on just that subject. It is called ?The Flip Side? by a man named Flip Flippen. He talked to people from many different walks of life and explores this question in detail.

Good luck to you and DONT EVER feel guilty for being a success. There will always be jealous people who won?t want to see you succeed. Don?t let that hold you back.
